“See Through Words” Annotation

Reading Erads “See Through Words” I read through the text and annotated it two times. The first time reading through I overall agreed with the piece and liked it a lot. But some parts in the reading I didn’t understand yet fully. The second time reading the piece I understood the piece overall better. And parts I didn’t understand before like how “A paintbrush is a kind of pump” I now get that. Before I didn’t know how either of them related to each over at all. But in fact they do, they both move liquid. And because of the metaphor they were able to design a different paintbrush that worked better. I then released that metaphors allow people to think differently, and even solve problems. Reading it the second time definitely helped me figure that out and “clear the fog”. The first time reading it I also was unsure of what pseudo-mistakes were. I now know they are a non genuine mistake. The second time reading it I decided to look it up, and it helped me understand that particular section better. Another time I “cleared the fog” was when I came across the term centralizing function, I looked it up and its an organized area of a function. That also helped me understand the paper better. Overall reading the piece a second time helped me understand the whole piece as a whole, and I was glad I could read it a second time.
