Draft #1

After reading “Shitty First Drafts” by Anne Lamott, I released that just because my first draft has a lot of areas to work on, doesn’t mean my paper is a complete fail. She talked about how all good writers don’t have a first draft that is amazing. And its only human to have one that needs work. My first draft was ok, but needed work of course. I also needed to go through it and take things out, add things, narrow down meh point. Lamott advised to just write what’s on your mind for your first draft and then to go through it and clean it up. As well as shorten it, add or erase things. I agree with her Idea and that’s something I have to do as well.

Revision Plan Strategy

My plan for my revision is to re read my draft out loud. Then to go into it and start marking spots where I need to add or drop things. I will also refer back to my peers notes for my revision. When doing the peer review I got good tips for my intro paragraph, as well as spots that could use more explanation and or quotes. My biggest challenge is my intro paragraph because I don’t have my opinion narrowed down enough, but my peers gave me good ideas for the intro paragraph. If I run into challenges then I will look on the class blog for any resources to help me.
