Rubric/ Revision

Areas of the rubric that provided me with the greatest learning opportunity/ confused me…

  • The position and intro section of the rubric really helped me go into my paper and go down the bullet points and check each section of my paper. I put myself in the position of the reader to make sure my paper makes sense, as well as clearly states the topic, scope, intent, stakes, why this paper matters, my own position and overall the statement my paper is there to make.
  • The organization section of the rubric helped me a lot with my paper. I was worried that my paper was all over the place, but after reading the organization section I relised it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I split one of my larger paragraphs into two after reading the organization section, and after doing that my paper has a much better flow.
  • The Clarity, MLA section confused me because it talked about having a work cited page (that we will be going over in class on Wednesday) but I wasn’t sure how the work cited page should be set up, and if it was the same as in High School or not.
  • The conversation section helped me with the fact that I need to polish my essay in that area. After reading the check list I relised that I didn’t aid understanding to quotes, and I didn’t clearly relate the quotes to the essay. After reading that it helped me with things I can improve on in the essay.
